EXAMEN TIC II

Past simple

Hi! today I am going to explain you the past tense. We use this tense to: talk about the past and to talk about hypotheses ( things that are imaginedrather than true). There are two types of verbs: the regular verbs and the irregular ones. We use regular verbs adding -ed at the end. If the verb has one syllable, the last consonant gets duplicated before adding the -ed suffix. If the verbs ends with Y , we change this letter for an I before adding -ed . If the verb ends with an e we only have to add a d .  To use the regular verbs, you have to learn all of them.  Here you have a list with all of them! AFFIRMATIVE: Subject + verb in past form Example : I played football last week. NEGATIVE: Subject + did not + verb (without -ed) Example : I did not listen to music yesterday  INTERROGATIVE: Did + subject + verb (without -ed) + ? Example : did you watch TV last month? If you want to practice past tense there are some exercises. and to practice pronunciation h

I WISH / IF ONLY

Hello everyone! Today i´m gonna show you how to use the "i wish" form. This is used in different ways and it depends on what you want to say. If you want to complain about something in the present you have to use the past simple. Ex: I don´t have a car. I wish i had a car.   If you want to complain about somethin gin the past you have to use the past perfect. Ex: I didn´t go to school yesterday. I wish i had gone to school yesterday. If  you want to complain about someone you have to use  would + infinitive verb.   Ex: Fran is talking evrytime and that annoys me. I wish Fran would be quiet.       Here you have some exercises to practice.   I hope it has helped you!    Bye, Juan Pablo.
