Future tense

Hi! today I will explain the future tense:

To speak about future we can use: will and be going to.

Will is used to talk about instant decisions, to express a promise and to make predictions without an evidence.

examples:

It´s cold here, i will close the window
I will help you tomorrow.
You will be taller than me.

the structure used is:  subject + will/won´t + verb (infinitive)

I will be the best   -   I won´t be the best   -   Will i be the best?
She will be the best   -   She won´t be the best   -   Will she be the best?
We will be the bests   -   We won´t be the bests   -   Will we be the bests?

We use the "be going to" structure to talk about plans and predictions with an evidence.

examples:

We are going to have a party tonight.
There are a lot of clouds, it´s going to rain.

The structure we use is: Subject + be (am / is / are) + going to + verb (infinitive)

It is going to be a great party   -   It isn´t going to be a great party   -  Is it going to be a great party?
We are going to play footbal   -   We aren´t going to play football   -   Are we going to play footbal?

Past simple

There are two types of verbs: the regular verbs and the irregular ones. We use regular verbs adding -ed at the end. If the verb has one syllable, the last consonant gets duplicated before adding the -ed suffix. If the verbs ends with Y , we change this letter for an I before adding -ed . If the verb ends with an e we only have to add a d .  To use the regular verbs, you have to learn all of them.  Here you have a list with all of them! AFFIRMATIVE: Subject + verb in past form Example : I played football last week. NEGATIVE: Subject + did not + verb (without -ed) Example : I did not listen to music yesterday  INTERROGATIVE: Did + subject + verb (without -ed) + ? Example : did you watch TV last month? If you want to practice past tense there are some exercises. and to practice p...
